Unique Marine Life (UMLs) are rare and special creatures in Endless Ocean Luminous. These can be uncommon fish or larger versions of regular sea life, making them tricky to locate. However, with the right approach, you can spot these creatures and complete related quests more easily.

Unlocking Unique Marine Life
Before searching for UMLs, you’ll need to complete a few steps during a Solo or Shared Dive. UMLs don’t appear right away, so follow these steps to prompt their arrival:

    Start a New Dive: Begin a Solo or Shared Dive. Shared Dives are preferable, as working with others increases your chances of locating UMLs.
    Discover Creatures with Unusual Signs: Find seven creatures with strange biometric signs. Your guide, Sera, will point them out, and they’ll be located in orange-marked areas on the map.
    Track the Creatures: As you approach these creatures, your reticle will flash orange. Once you’ve found all seven, UMLs will become available.

Finding Unique Marine Life
Once Sera alerts you to the presence of a UML, ensure that you’ve uncovered at least 80% of the map. Then, search for the orange-marked area on the map, just like before. Your reticle will blink orange when you’re close to the UML.

Be quick—UMLs can vanish if not found in time. If they disappear, you’ll need to locate more creatures with unusual signs and try again. Each dive session lasts one hour, giving you enough time to track down at least one UML. Happy diving!
